Foster is a Project Manager at the Youth Policy Lab where she manages a portfolio of research projects focused on education and schooling in Michigan. She holds a master of education studies degree with a focus on leadership and policy and a bachelor of fine arts degree, both from the University of Michigan, and is a licensed K-12 special educator. She is presently splitting her time between the Lab and the School of Education where she is pursuing a PhD in Education Studies with a focus on Policy, Leadership, and Innovation. Before joining the Lab, Foster was a special education teacher in a neighborhood Chicago high school, where she taught history. She also has experience as a baker and a small business owner.
