Anna Foster
Anna Foster ("Foster") holds a PhD in Educational Studies (Policy & Leadership), an MA in Educational Studies (Policy, Leadership, and Innovation), and a BFA, all from the University of Michigan. She has research experience in project management, data collection, and data analysis roles and has worked on a broad portfolio of youth- and schools-centered research projects. Most recently, her work has focused on system-building efforts to support NGSS aligned elementary science instruction in six states (on an NSF-funded project at U-M) and on using student-experience data as a tool for instructional improvement (on a project with CU Boulder). She has also supported the development of open access online learning modules at EdHub for Community and Professional Learning at U-M's Marsal Family School of Education, in partnership with the Improvement Scholars Network. Previously she has worked as a high school special education teacher, a baker, and as the proprietress of a small coffee shop.
