Jason Barron

Jason Barron is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Duke University and a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER. His research lies at the intersection of labor and public economics. He studies how public institutions—such as child welfare systems and public schools—shape economic opportunity for children in the U.S., and how they can be designed to be more effective and efficient.
